Cruise February 2012

We had a blast. It didn't start off too well, but I was fine once I was on the ship.

We were planning on leaving for Omaha Saturday morning about 3 a.m for our flight at 5:55 a.m but it started snowing at midnight and we were supposed to get up to 10 inches of snow. We wound up leaving the house about 1:00 a.m. We drove 30 miles an hour to get through the snow storm.

We got to the airport, our flight was on time. We got onto the plane first plane on time to Dallas Ft. Worth, Texas. There was so much snow and ice on the air plane wings. They had to power wash and de ice the snow and ice off the wings. This took an hour. So, by this time we were an hour delayed. We sat on the plane for an hour before we took off.

We arrived in Dallas at 8:54 a.m and our next flight to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida was at 8:50 a.m. We literally ran to the other side of the airport. We made it within seconds of them closing the door. The pilot let the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami people off the plane first so we could make our flight. The Miami people wound up missing their flight. The Miami flight already left the airport.

We finally got onto the ship about 1:30 p.m Saturday. Felt like forever. We sailed all day Saturday and Sunday. Made it to Belize and did our excursion at Belize City, Belize. We zip lined. We didn't get any pictures of us zip lining because we really didn't have any time and we were separated most of the time. There were four of us on the cruise together.

Yes, I am the only one with out tennis shoes on. I am not a tennis shoe person. My flats are more comfortable than any tennis shoe!

We zip lined and then ate at a buffet. It was fun to get off the ship and be on land.

My eyes were dilated the whole time I was on the ship, so it was hard for me to see for a while. I don't know why. It could of been from my medication, the climate change, being in the air then in the water, or my contacts reacted to my meds.

We got back on the boat and showered and got ready for dinner at 6 p.m, we had a set time for supper every night in the same dining room.

Monday night we sailed to Cozumel, Mexico. Tuesday, we arrived in Cozumel to go kayaking and snorkeling. It was so beautiful their. I liked Cozumel a lot better than Belize.

We arrived back on the ship, then cruised all day Tuesday night and Wednesday. The two days we were out on our excursions it was sunny and hot, but the two days that we were on the ship it was rainy, windy, and over casted. It sucked because Brandi and I wanted to lay out at least one day, but we couldn't because it was raining the whole time. The wind was 30 mph all days.

On Thursday, we arrived at Ft. Lauderdale and had to be off of the ship by 8:20 a.m, so us four went to eat breakfast in our other dining room. The flight home wasn't very entertaining. Got to the Ft. Lauderdale airport about 10:00 a.m. after going through customs and bag check and everything else. We had a 4 hour delay in Ft. Lauderdale. We had one bag to carry on and it had all the breakable souvenirs in that bag. The person checking our tickets to get on the airplane said we couldn't carry our bag on so we had to check it. I was pissed. By the time I got done yelling at her she asked Dan, "Is she always like this?" hee hee. Don't mess with me, woman! Anyway, landed in Houston, Texas and flew out at 5:38 p.m. We sat on the plane again for an hour waiting for people to get on. So, we were home an hour later than we would have been.

We had super fun.
