The big day!

My best friend decided that she needed to come back this morning and help me frost. I pulled the frosting out at 9 a.m and it was still not thick. I put it on a cupcake thinking that maybe once it was on the cupcakes it would thicken up..nope it just ran off the cupcake. So...we had to pitch it and run to the store to buy store frosting. We spent the next couple of hours frosting and talking. It was fun. We finally got done about 1:00, it felt good to have everything done.

Today is our vow renewal ceremony. We are having it in a local park. It is going to be 97 degrees today and windy. Every other day is in the upper 70's and lower 80's.

Got our last minute shopping done today and got the grill ready to be transported. Got all the coolers full. A couple of Dan's really good friends came over and hauled the grill in their truck. We had a couple of T.V's set up for our slide show and the wedding video (from 10 years ago).

All the guys left about 2:30 to go down and set up the T.V, and decorate. I was still at the house with the kids. The plan was for grandpa to go with the guys then come back to the house and get me at 3:45 to do the rest of the decorating. Grandpa didn't get to the house until about 3:55. We loaded up the cupcakes and started heading out. We ran into my mom pulling up to my house, so they followed us to the park, we finally got there about 4:15. People were all ready there. I thought there would be more done that was done, so I still had to set up my cupcakes, start blowing up balloons and finish decorating. I planned a balloon release when it got dark, light up balloons that the kids could do.

Here is the final project. We had to put them on 5 cookie sheet trays to transport them to the park then set them up on the plywood. It is supposed to be a "10" in the middle, but it looks more like "ID." Maybe it stands for "I Do?"
