Wednesday, May 30th

Today is my longest day. It's going pretty good.

The kids had swim lessons today, then we stayed home the rest of the day. We had a thunderstorm this afternoon, so we couldn't go outside even if we wanted to. It was pretty wet outside.

Gonna work on the rest of my book. Just gotta get the pages together then off it goes.

Tuesday, May 29th

Aden and Keira started swimming lessons this week. They have the lessons Mon-Thurs 10:45-11:25 a.m. for 2 weeks.

Got done with swimming lessons, came home, ate lunch then gave the kids a bath. We sat around the house the rest of the day. It felt good to just sit and relax. At about 3:30, I started getting bored, though, so  the kids and I went for a walk.

This is the start of a busy June....

Monday, May 28th

Good day! It sure didn't feel like a Monday today. The hubby was off due to the holiday and we got invited to a friend's BBQ.

It was a blast! The kids played on a slip N slide, they swam in a little baby pool and jumped on a trampoline. I don't really like trampolines, but the kids really liked it. We, yes I said we all had a water balloon fight. And all the big boys played basketball while us women drank margaritas and talked.

I got to spend time with my best friend for the second time this weekend. The house we went to is a mutual friend of a bunch of us. They were all also there for my vow renewal ceremony.

Another exhausting day/night. We didn't leave until after 10 p.m.

Vow Renewal Ceremony

Saturday, May 26th Vow Renewal Ceremony

I didn't get any pictures of before the ceremony or the ceremony, but one of my friend's video taped it for me and is supposed to be emailing it to me, so when she does that then I will share it.

This is what the ceremony looked like....

Scriptural Greeting- Ecclesiasted 4:9-12
Statement on the Gift of Marriage
Wedding Video from 10 years ago
Prayer
Scripture- John 2:1-11
Homily/Meditation- "Marriage is a Family Affair"
The First Decade- Slide show 10 + years
Declarations of Intent
Vows
Family Bouqet
Prayer of Blessing
Special Music- Lonestar Amazed
Charge and Benediction
Release of Lanterns

You can see both the Wedding video (from 10 years ago) and the slide show (10 +years of our lives) from the ceremony by clicking on one of the links above..they are on the same link.

Here are some pictures from the reception...Of course, this is not all the pictures, but I guess you had to be there to see everything! The old saying goes..."You had to be there."

Didn't get a picture of Tay by the water because she slipped on a rock and fell in.

The kids at the balloon release.

Sunday, May 27th

Very lazy day.

We were out until 10:15 p.m last night at the park. We got home and I gave all the kids a bath while the hubby cleaned out the truck and cleaned out his friends' trucks. Got the kids laid down then I got in the shower. It was fun but I was just hot, sticky and exhausted.

I got to sleep in until noon today, boy did I need that! We went out to eat at Qdoba for lunch then did some running around. Came home about 5:30 then went to grandma and grandpa's for supper at 6.

We got invited to a BBQ and get together tomorrow. That should be fun. They are going to have a slip and slide there for the kids and margaritas for the parents.  Hell of a deal if you ask me!

Saturday, May 26th

The big day!

My best friend decided that she needed to come back this morning and help me frost. I pulled the frosting out at 9 a.m and it was still not thick. I put it on a cupcake thinking that maybe once it was on the cupcakes it would thicken up..nope it just ran off the cupcake. So...we had to pitch it and run to the store to buy store frosting. We spent the next couple of hours frosting and talking. It was fun. We finally got done about 1:00, it felt good to have everything done.

Today is our vow renewal ceremony. We are having it in a local park. It is going to be 97 degrees today and windy. Every other day is in the upper 70's and lower 80's.

Got our last minute shopping done today and got the grill ready to be transported. Got all the coolers full. A couple of Dan's really good friends came over and hauled the grill in their truck. We had a couple of T.V's set up for our slide show and the wedding video (from 10 years ago).

All the guys left about 2:30 to go down and set up the T.V, and decorate. I was still at the house with the kids. The plan was for grandpa to go with the guys then come back to the house and get me at 3:45 to do the rest of the decorating. Grandpa didn't get to the house until about 3:55. We loaded up the cupcakes and started heading out. We ran into my mom pulling up to my house, so they followed us to the park, we finally got there about 4:15. People were all ready there. I thought there would be more done that was done, so I still had to set up my cupcakes, start blowing up balloons and finish decorating. I planned a balloon release when it got dark, light up balloons that the kids could do.

Here is the final project. We had to put them on 5 cookie sheet trays to transport them to the park then set them up on the plywood. It is supposed to be a "10" in the middle, but it looks more like "ID." Maybe it stands for "I Do?"

Friday, May 25th

Happy Anniversary to the hubby. Mainly for putting up with me for 10 + years. The hubby didn't have to work today, but neither of us got to sleep in. I got up at 8:30 and went to Yoga, while he slept in a little bit until the kids woke up about 9.

Come to find out my Yoga partner wasn't going today, but didn't tell me, so instead of doing Yoga I just went and tanned, got my eyebrows done and ran a couple of other errands since I was by myself (best time to do it.)

Came home then cleaned up the house because my best friend, her husband and kids came over to eat supper and help my bake 130 cupcakes and decorate before tomorrow.

It was super fun to have them over! The kids played together really good. The husbands played together really good as well (they are very good friends anyway ;)). We had grandma and grandpa over as well. We had pizza delivered and the bestie brought over some pasta and salad left over from a school luncheon from Ruby Tuesday! Yummy!

Us girls had fun! We made margaritas, talked and baked. We got all the cupcakes done and was attempted to make homemade frosting. They were here until 10:30 trying to get the frosting at a correct consistency. It was too thin! Finally, the last instruction said to store it in the refrigerator to make it thicker. She decided that we would do that and she would be back in the morning to help me frost and decorate.

Thursday, May 24th

Went to Zumba today. Took the kids to child the child watch. After Zumba we came home and ate lunch then went shopping for things that we needed for our vow renewal ceremony.

Came back home gave the kids a snack, relaxed a little bit then started laundry. Waited for the hubby to get home then went to eat and more shopping. This time we went shopping for decorations, but the place we thought the store was at was shut down. So, we decided to do different shopping (hot dogs, hamburgers...etc) and just get the decorations Friday.

The Wedding Day!

Today is our 10th wedding anniversary! You think 10 years is long...just wait until you hear how long we have been together all together.....wait for it....wait for it..... 16 years!

I never thought I would marry the man that I met when I was in high school. Okay, not at high school, but I was going to high school when I met him. He was 18 and I was 16. I had had a couple of relationships before him and I didn't get treated good in any of them. When I met him, I thought he was too good to be true. I thought he would date me for a couple of months and leave or do something dumb like the others did. I kept waiting and waiting, but nothing happened. He was sticking around no matter what!

I saw him one night while my mom, my best friend and I were out at a bowling alley. He was bowling with his mom and dad and a couple of his friends. I told my mom that I thought he was cute and she is not a shy person, so she went and told him and got his number and she gave him mine. His mom chimed in saying he already has a girlfriend. I thought there was no way he was going to call me now since he was already in a relationship. I got home that night and was laying in my room with my best friend (having a sleepover ;) ) and the phone rang, my mom brought me the phone and it was him. We talked for a little bit and set up our first date. Come to find out he was still dating her when we went on our first date....and that's when it all started.

I could only see him on the weekends because I still lived with my mom in Utica and he lived with his mom in Seward and worked in Lincoln. We later moved to Marquette (over by Grand Island) and he stayed in Seward and Lincoln. He was going to school at UNL and working so I still only saw him on the weekends. That was about a 2 hour drive for him. Finally, it happened..the snow storm that changed it all. I was staying with him one weekend at his parent's house and there had been giant snow storm that weekend. My car was trapped and was not leaving, therefore, I was not leaving either! I called into work the rest of the week and eventually quit. We both said I might as well move in and that's what happened. We got an apartment in Lincoln with some friends and lived together ever since.

That day feels like it was yesterday! I was so nervous! I had my sister in law as my maid of honor and my best friend at the time as one of my bridesmaids. Dan had his best friend as his best man and soon to be brother in law as his groom's man. We didn't want a big wedding party. We only wanted the people closest to us to share our big day!

We had a family meal/brunch that morning of the wedding. Then it was time for hair and makeup. Dan's aunt (which is a hair stylist) did my hair and makeup, as well as my wedding party and the mothers. I am not one to let someone else be in charge, so I was panicking all morning wondering if everyone had their respectable flowers on, if everyone was dressed in the appropriate attire. If everyone was there that was supposed to be by that time. I think it would have went a lot smoother if I hadn't been worrying so much ;)

Anyway, we had planned for a photographer of course, so he was there. I didn't want Dan to see me in my dress before the wedding, but we wanted individual pictures, so about an hour before the wedding we set it up that the photographer would take mine and my bridesmaids pictures by ourselves (without the guys), which surprisingly worked out great! Then it was the guys' turn.

You don't realize how much stuff can go wrong until that day! Everyday up until that day, you think... oh nothing will go wrong, I have been planning this for a year or two....wrong! If I have any luck at all it is bad luck! My personal attendant didn't show up (I guess she had more important issues at the time), so I had to ask Dan's aunt to do my hair and make up. My older brother (of 3) was having his first daughter that day... he didn't know he was until about an hour before the wedding started, he was supposed to be one of my ushers. So, a family friend of ours, he's just like my little brother, had to step in for him. My youngest brother was the ring barrier. I had asked my real dad to walk me down the isle and his daughter was going to be my flower girl, but that didn't happen because he called me about a week before the wedding letting me know that he wasn't going to make it....because he had a bad tooth..really? So, I didn't have a flower girl and my dad that has been in my life since I was months old walked me down the isle!

The ceremony was beautiful! We walked outside to our awaiting horse and carriage and took a stroll through the little town of Seward. Stopped in a park and took more pictures. Headed over to the reception and had a blast!

We left the reception and stayed the night in a hotel by the airport in Lincoln to catch our honeymoon flight to Vegas baby! Since then we have been to Vegas 6 times. I really don't know what made us go to Vegas. Dan had been there one time and I had never been there, I think he thought I would like it. I did like it. We stayed at Bellagio. Very beautiful!

To Dan....
We have had some rough times, some trying times, some happy times, some sad times, some exciting times, but most of all wonderful times. We have had our ups and downs, our bad days and good days. What kind of relationship would it be if you only had good days or only had bad days, you have to have both to even out a relationship. We have had our shares of arguments, tears, pleasures, challenges, but I wouldn't want it any other way. I love you! Here is to another 90 years! That's if I live that long ;)

Summer Break

I dropped Keira off at school one day and the teachers gave me a monthly newsletter. One of the dates, right there in bold, you can't miss it, says "May18th Last day of school." My first thought was Summer break! I love Summer! Most parents are petrified when they see or hear the words Summer break. I love Summer break, it's no different than if she was going to school.

Summer to me means.....picnics. Staying up late. Late nights outside. BBQ's. More time with the kids. Parks. Swimming. Running in the sprinklers. Sitting outside. Doing yardwork. More activities for the kids. You are probably wondering why I haven't said camping yet? I do not camp! I am not the camping type. I will only camp if I have a camper.

Summer to me, is just cheerful. It means more time with friends. I play volleyball in the summer and am on a pool league. Being in those two activities makes the Summer go fast, but it's all worth it!

Wednesday, May 23rd

It feels weird not taking Keira to school today, but it felt good at the same time knowing that we had all day to do whatever we wanted.

Wasn't going to do anything today. We were just going to stay home and just be lazy, but I cannot stand to be bored...it makes my longest day of the week even longer, so I decided to take the kids to the Y so they could play with their friends and I could sit in the hot tub for 30-45 minutes. It was nice and relaxing for about 10 minutes until about 30 teenage girls and boys decided it was a good day for a swim ( I think it was a youth group from the Y). Good thing I decided not to take the kids at that point.

Tuesday, May 22nd

Tuesday's are usually my boring days that I do not have anything to do. So, we didn't do much today. I got a call that Keira's other (new) glasses were in, so we went and picked them up and went shopping at the mall with my birthday money ;).

Walked around the mall and went into a couple stores then got some frozen yogurt and sat down with the kids and ate. Even though I had all 3 kids by myself, it was nice and peaceful. No teenage kids running around everywhere like there usually is when we go as a family at 6 p.m.

Came home, had supper as a family then the kids went on a walk with daddy to grandma's then the park. I got some mommy time...finishing up laundry... nice mommy time, huh?

Monday, May 21st

Good day. Keira is out of school for the Summer. She doesn't understand that she has to wait 3 months before she can go to kindergarten. She thought that as soon as she got out of preschool she went right into kindergarten. She understood after I explained it to her.

Took the kids swimming at the Y today. That is their favorite thing to do besides playing at the park or on our swings and slides.

Had volleyball tonight. We didn't play well at all..that seems to be the same story every week ;(. We played a team that was 0-9 and still wound up losing 2 matches out of 3. Talk about crappy!!!

Sunday, May 20th

Last day of Sunday School. Yay! That means we don't have to get up as early anymore on Sundays! Went to Church then had a party for our pastor going away ;( then I got to play in the pool tournament.

Didn't do very well. Won my first match then lost, lost.

Didn't do much after that. Went shopping and ate as a family. Pretty lazy night.

Saturday, May 19th

Long day today! The hubby had to play pool again this afternoon. He played pool Wednesday night for his pool league. Then he played Thursday night for his team tournament and Friday night for his team tournament and Saturday at noon for his team tournament, so it has been a very long weekend for me. Not long because I was with the kids....but just long because it gets boring and I don't do boring very well! I always have to be doing something.

So....today the kids and I went to the Y for a couple of hours and went swimming. We were the only ones in there for about an hour then it started getting busy. I don't do busy very well either....the older kids start getting mean and running around and running into my kids then I just get upset because I am being the good mom playing in the pool with my kids while these other kids' mom's are sitting outside the pool at a table reading a book, playing on the computer or upstairs (not even watching their kids) working out. People drive me crazy! Yes, I have an attitude today, I don't know why. Maybe because I am starting to feel better and getting a little stir crazy, ready for volleyball on Monday ;)

300th post!!!

This is my 300th post. My first post was on October 13th. My goal for this blog was to make it my diary. Write down my thoughts, my struggles, my journey, my accomplishments everyday as a stay at home mom, I have achieved that goal, but it turned out to be harder than I thought.

When I first started this blog, I thought it would be easy to find things to write about since I have 3 kids and they all have different needs and desires. As I write this blog everyday, I realize it is not easy to find things to write about. I found it is easier to make it short and sweet sometimes than try and ramble on.

There are times that I feel like I am just talking to myself, but in the long run the kids are going to look back on this blog and know what it was like when they were 5, 3, and 2. It will also be helpful when I start/finish to write my 2nd book.  ;)

My Birthday-May 16th

I had a great birthday. The hubby had to work, but got home about 3 p.m. It was a surprise ( I like surprises!) Picked Keira up from school and came home to find his car in the garage. I was pleasantly surprised, since I was asking him the day before to take the day off for my birthday :) The kids were surprised as well and was screaming in the car when we pulled into the garage..."Daddy's home! Daddy's home. I see daddy's car!"

The hubby and kids went shopping for my birthday present Monday night while I was playing volleyball.  They went to New York and Company (my favorite store)  in the mall and this is what each kid picked out for me....

Aden picked out these shoes. These are not normally my type...have to have my heels, but they are surprisingly comfy and cute! Good job Aden!

Taygen picked out these beautiful blue earrings.

Keira picked out this blue and black necklace.

The kids did an amazing job picking out my birthday presents...considering I am a very picky person and probably have most of N Y & C's jewelry. The hubby didn't know what to get me, so he just gave me $50 to spend on my self. Not sure what I am going to get yet.

Had a great birthday considering I was sick to my stomach and the hubby had to play pool that night. The hubby was also sick....we think it was some kind of food poisoning...something only the 2 of us ate because the kids are fine.

Friday, May 18th

Got to sleep in today. The hubby didn't have to work. The girls didn't do yoga today, so I didn't have yoga today.

The hubby actually had the kids dressed and ready to go eat lunch when I woke up. That is shocking because it doesn't matter if I sleep in or not, I still have to do my daily routine with the kids.

Took Keira to her last day of school today then took Aden and Taygen to get hair cuts with the hubby. I left the house about 2 to go tanning and to pick up Keira from school.

We were supposed to go to g'ma's and g'pa's tonight (we go every Friday) but Dan had to play pool tonight again for his pool tournament.

I heard about a kids Zumba class at the Y. Friday nights at 6:30 p.m. I decided to take Keira to the class and see if she likes it. She loves dancing. She didn't really like it. She said it felt like exercise ;) I said Keira it is exercise.

I took Aden and Taygen to child watch...or what Taygen calls "playing with friends" while I watched Keira on her first day. Then when Keira's class got done at 7:20 I took Keira into the child watch and spent time in the hot tub.

Thursday, May 17th

Not a good day for the hubby and I. The hubby and I were sick yesterday, but got through the day. The hubby called in sick to work today because his stomach still felt yucky.

I still feel yucky today as well! So, today was a very lazy day for us. I let the hubby sleep in while I got up with the kids then he let me sleep in a while while he got up with the kids.

The hubby has pool again tonight (tournament). The poor kids have been stuck inside all day, I might take them out later and maybe go swimming or just walk around our neighborhood. Looking forward to relaxing tonight when everybody is in bed and the hubby is playing pool. ME TIME!

Wednesday, May 16th

Happy Birthday to me!

Just another year older...32 today!

Great day! Got to spend time with the hubby. He had to work today, but got home about 3 (instead of 6:30). He had to go play pool tonight, but we got to go shopping and eat out together as a family, so that works for me!

The kids were so excited because they each got to pick out a gift for me by themselves, so they were so excited for me to open their gifts this morning.

The only part of today that was bad was that my stomach hurt all day. It felt like I could get sick at any minute. I had diarrhea all day. According to Dan, he felt the same way all day. Must be food poisoning or something..Ugh!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was great. It was like any other Sunday....lazy!

Aden made me something in Sunday School (I don't teach his class).

"Mommy, I love you for all that you do.
I'll kiss and hug you 'cause you love me too.
You feed me and need me to teach you to play
So smile 'cause I love you on this Mother's Day!"

All the kids made me these flower cards in kids Church

"Mom, to make your day fantastic,
I made you this flower of plastic.
I give it to you with this special gift,
a gift so sweet it may give you a lift.
I want to help you with all you do,
including helping with a dish or two.
Happy Mother's Day!"

The hubby got me some flowers! Favorite color!

I am very blessed to have such an amazing hubby and kids. They take care of me when they can. Even though mothers should be spoiled when they can, it is nice to have one day dedicated to all the hard work that I do!

Tuesday, May 15th

Nothing planned for today. Usually this is our day to go swimming at the Y just for fun, but I really didn't feel like going swimming today. Not sure why, just didn't have the energy.

We stayed home until after lunch, then went shopping and got me some really cute summer shirts and a pair of shorts. I really am not a shorts person. I am more of a skirt, dress or capri person. So, buying shorts was a big deal for me.

Came home, gave the kids snack and thought I would try and mow the yard for the hubby. Needless to say, I am not a mower girl either ;) I only got the front yard done. That only takes about 5 minutes.

My best friend needed her computer fixed, so she talked the hubby into fixing it. We all went over there for a couple of hours while he worked on it and the kids had a play date. While us girls had our own play date with margaritas ;)

Monday, May 14th

Another busy Monday. That's okay, whatever I have to do to make the day go faster!

Dropped Keira off at school then went to get my Starbucks Caramel Frap. Which the kids call "Mommy's coffee."

Came home for a couple of hours then went back to pick Keira up. Got home about 3:30, gave the kids snack then we all went outside so I could do some more yard work while they played on the swings and slide. Got back inside about 5, got all the kids washed up. They were ready to relax, so I turned on a show and started supper. On Monday's the hubby is usually home by 6, so I can go tan and volleyball by 7.

We didn't do well in volleyball. We had 2 subs tonight and just wasn't clicking.

Sunday, May 13th

Happy Mother's Day!

Didn't do much today. Went to Church....Shocker!

The hubby did most of the stuff around the house...bless his heart, he sure tries. Him and the kids got me some flowers, a card and some Dove chocolate pieces.

Pretty lazy day. The hubby fell asleep on the couch. I thought it was my day to relax...;)

Keira, Aden and Taygen sang Happy Mother's Day in the tune of Happy Birthday to me today. It was super cute. Every time I turned around they were saying "Happy Mother's Day"

Saturday, May 12, 2012

Saturday, May 12th

Another busy day.

This weekend has gone really slow. It feels like today should be Sunday. Glad it is not though!

The hubby and I both got to sleep in today because the kids were still at my mom's today. We woke up at 10 a.m then got ready and left the house at 11:00 to go pick the kids up.

We decided to stop in York and eat lunch then pick the kids up after. We got to my mom's about 1:00. My mom wanted to do family pictures of all 9 grandkids...talk about fun....The picture appointment was at 3. We did the pics then waited around to pick the pics. Didn't get out of there till about 5. All of my mom's kids and grandkids went to eat at a chinese buffet. It was nice having all the kids together!

Finally got home about 8 p.m. Gave the kids a bath then let them unwind and then started their bedtime routine. Gotta get up early for church....Only one more week of getting up early for Sunday School. The rest of the Summer we won't have to get up before 7:30 the kids will get to sleep in until 9:30 for Church at 10:30.

The hubby and kids didn't have enough time to get me something for Mother's Day because the kids were at my mom's all weekend. So, while we were getting waiting for all the families to take their pictures, the hubby went out and picked out some flowers, a card and some chocolate for me from him and the kids. They all gave it to me when we got home. Even though I knew what they got me before it was still special! ;)

Friday, May 11th

I have no hubby or kids today. What am I going to do with my self?

The kids are still at my mom's. I was supposed to go to Y for yoga this morning. I set my alarm for 8 a.m to be there by 9:15. Dan left this morning for his work golf outing at 7. I was laying in my bed waiting for my alarm to go off, thinking that it should have gone off by now. So, I get up and look at my clock and it says 8:44. I go to check my phone and my best friend had texted me and said she was way too busy to go today, so I didn't wind up going.

I just stayed up. Wondering what I was going to do with myself today. I started cleaning. I do cleaning on a weekly basis, so I thought I would do it today, since I don't have anything else to do today.

Thinking about playing pool tonight in a pool tourney.

Thursday, May 10th

Super busy day!

I went to the Y to do my Zumba with the girls at 9:45 a.m. Came home got the kids lunch, changed my clothes, then left for my mom's (11:30 a.m) so the kids could spend the weekend with my mom and dad. My mom has family pictures planned for Saturday, so I thought they could stay the night Thursday and Friday nights and then we could pick them up Saturday when we came down for pictures.

Left my mom's house about 2 p.m to come home. Stopped to tan then went shopping for a few things around the house. Got home at 4:20 p.m. Got in the shower and had to be ready to go to the hubby's banquet by 5:30 (started at 6:30).  Showered, dressed, hair done and makeup all in 30 minutes, usually takes about 45-an hour for me! The hubby got home at 5:00, while I was getting ready and he got ready himself (had to wear a suit).

We went to the banquet then came home about 9:00. The hubby and I worked on our slideshow for the vow renewal together.

I really miss the kids, but sometimes it is good to be by myself.

Wednesday, May 9th

Keira had her preschool program for the end of the year. She did great! We met the rest of the class at the park by her school. They sang the parents and siblings a couple of songs then we had a picnic with the rest of the class then we played at the park. It was fun for them. She has 3 days of school left. She got a graduation hat from her teachers and a "year book" with all her class mates in it. All her class mates signed her book and she signed theirs.

Other than that it was a normal Wednesday. Met the hubby at Fazoli's for supper then he went to play pool. Got the kids a bath when we got home, let them relax a little and then bed time.

Tuesday, May 8th

We didn't have anything planned for today. Okay, so maybe I did have some kind of plan to finish the landscaping, but who wants to work hard on such a nice day...ugh

Well, I planned on taking the kids swimming at the Y. When we got to the Y, there were a lot of cars there for a Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. Keira's swimming lessons were done, so I figured everybody was done with swimming lessons, of course not! They had swimming lessons until 11:30, which means no one else can swim until swimming lessons are done for that day.

So, I reversed my plans and went to get Keira's glasses adjusted first. They fall off of her when she looks down. They tightened them and now she said they feel better. If they would have done that in the first place they wouldn't have to do it now...right?

Anyway, while we were at the eye place, I decided to get Keira another pair of glasses. Just in case something happens to happen to her glasses that she has now. You have to wait 2-3 weeks for new glasses, so if something happens/ed to her glasses that she has now, we would be screwed. The new ones that she is getting has the transition lenses on them so when she goes outside they turn into sunglasses, which I think she will love.

I did do some of the landscaping that I had planned on doing. I had to get the old mulch out, pull weeds, and put the new mulch in. Talk about a pain in the ass! Needless to say, I only got half of it done. Aden and Keira played outside, riding their bikes and playing on the swings and slide while I did my yard work. Taygen was napping.

Monday, May 7th

Well, apparently, I still want it to be April because I started off the month of May writing "April" in the date.

We had went shopping for landscape supplies on Sunday...mulch, flowers, a little shrub to put on my porch,  potting soil, etc. So, today I started out with light duty and just planted my flowers and shrub in my flower pots to put on my porch while the kids played on the swings and slides and Aden rode his new bike around the driveway and into the garage.

Had volleyball tonight, so we couldn't be outside too long, had to come in and cook supper and get ready to go when the hubby came home.

We didn't do very good in volleyball tonight. We were all just off. We didn't win any games, but we had fun losing ;) if that's possible...of course it is...with a very best friend, a really good friend (cousin) and a couple of other friends on the team.

Be Grateful!

Recently, I started reading another mom's blog. This one is different than all the other one's I have read. I am posting this post because I cannot imagine this happening to me or any other mom/woman out there.

This post is for those of you who think you have it rough. For those of you who complain about how hard your life is and how much work your kids, work, life, relationship and etc are.

This blog is about a mom who has 3 kids, her husband just committed suicide and her family got robbed at gun point and she had her friend kidnapped. Please take the time to read this mom's blog and just think about how easy we/you have it. Just hug and kiss your children, spouse, parents, anybody that is important to you every day.

You should start reading it from the beginning and go from there to know the whole story.

Sunday, May 6th

It's Sunday! I guess....

Went to Church this morning....surprise! Or as my best friend would say...Shocker!

Came home from Church, ate lunch then relaxed a while. We then went shopping for mulch and more flowers for our landscaping. We ate at at BYB then came home and relaxed and watched Mythbusters as a family. The kids loved it!

Saturday, May 5th

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

The hubby let me sleep in today, but for some reason I couldn't sleep past 10, so I got up and got in the shower.

We went to Amigos for lunch to get the 5 for 5 tacos special. It was the hubby's idea and he gets a hamburger... hmmm

We went to get Aden a new big boy bike. Not for anything special, just so he could have a bike to ride with Keira when we go on walks.

Also, got myself a new vacuum, we have a vacuum now, but it weighs about 40 pounds and is the canister type, it is so heavy for me to lift up and down the stairs (we have 4 floors, so it is a big pain in the ass!) We got that vacuum when we got married and didn't have any kids, it was $3,000 back then and was one of those that picked up cat hair, humidified the air when you vacuumed the house, just an all around fancy vacuum. I just got tired of lugging it everywhere that I went down to vacuuming once a month. Now that I have this (normal) light weight vacuum, I can start vacuuming once a week again!

After we got back from the store, we went on a walk so Aden could ride his new bike. When we got done with our walk, I cooked supper then relaxed for a little bit. Put the kids' swimsuits on, turned the sprinklers on in the backyard and let the kids run through them. It was 85 degrees today, but felt like 93 with the humidity.

Bucket List

I was thinking the other day that I don't have any kind of bucket list or wish list. So, I decided that I would think about it and write it down as I go. So, here are a couple of things that I have on my list now. I will add to it as I think of things....

  1. Meet Kenny Chesney (he has already made eye contact with me and blew me a kiss)
  2. Cruise  went in February 2012
  3. Be a stay at home mom and watch my kids grow up
  4. Hawaii and spend a whole week there
  5. Take all the kids to another country
  6. Build a home, make it my own

Baggage

I have been watching GSN (Game Show Network) lately. I don't know why, maybe because nothing else is on during the day. I am really interested in Baggage and Lingo.

Here are the rules of Baggage.

Here is my baggage:

Small- Judge people by what they wear

Medium- Only get my eyebrows done every 3 months

Large- I have been in the back of a cop car and not just for a little ticket

If you watch the show, most of the people on there have way more problems and baggage than I do. My life is pretty boring compared to them, but this is the best I could do. Let's hear some of your baggage.

Friday, May 4th

Neither the hubby or I got to sleep in today. He played golf and I did my Yoga this morning. The hubby got home about 1:30 and let me lay down for a nap. He took the other kids and picked up Keira. The hubby, the kids and my really good friend went out for ice cream after school.

Woke up from my nap then went tanning. Came home then went to grandma and grandpa's house for supper.

Thursday, May 3rd

Did my Zumba today. Sweated more than I usually do. It was so humid out today and the last couple of days.

Of course, this week and weekend it is supposed to be 80-90 degrees and super humid, but on Monday when I play volleyball it is supposed to be in the lower 70's. I never know what to wear. I wore shorts the first week and was freezing. I wore shorts the second week because it was almost 80 and froze again.

Good day today. After Zumba, the kids and I came home ate lunch then went shopping at Gymboree.

Wednesday, May 2nd

Keira didn't have cheer tonight. Last week was her last week until school starts, it only runs during the school year....(August-April). It felt good to come home and cook supper without rushing around.

The kids relaxed and watched Dr. Dolittle, the cartoon, not the stupid one ;). It was super cute! The hubby is playing pool tonight, so I am getting caught up on my soaps and some Private Practice.

Gonna get up in the morning and do some Zumba.

Keira's Kindergarten Roundup

Keira had her kindergarten round up today. She got to go to her kindergarten for a couple of hours and see what her school looked like.

Keira told me that she...

  • Watched the movie Corduroy
  • Met her teachers
  • Did activities (didn't tell me what activities)
  • Cut with scissors
  • Used a glue stick
  • Drew a picture of herself
  • She told about her favorite books
  • Played with toys
  • Had her picture taken
  • Had a snack and listened to a story
All the kindergarten kids got a tomato plant that they have to watch grow during the Summer. Kind of like the kids will grow during the Summer.

Tuesday, May 1st

Today is the first day oaf May.

Happy May day!

Today is my younger brother's birthday. May is pretty busy for us.

May 1st- My brother's birthday

May 13th- Mother's Day

May 16th- My birthday

May 25th- Wedding Anniversary

May 26th- 10 year vow renewal and ceremony

Pretty good day so far. Keira had her kindergarten round up today. She was so excited and such a big girl.
Nothing much planned today. We have a dinner date with my best friend and her husband (and kids).

Monday, April 30th

Pretty nice day outside today. Took Keira to school today then when we picked her up we went to the park by her school with a couple of her friends.

Stayed at the park for 1 1/2 hours. By the time we got home it was 5 p.m. I had to hurry up and cook supper because the hubby was going to be home at 5:45 so I could go tanning then to volleyball.

We won 2 games tonight at volleyball. I would say we had a pretty good night!

Sunday, April 29th

Had to get up early for Church after a long night of staying out. I let the hubby play in a pool tournament today then we went to eat as a family at Carlos O Kelly's.

Came home and spent time as a family. I love Sundays.

Saturday, April 28th

Girls Night Out!

The hubby let me sleep in today. Then we went to the mall and had some frozen yogurt. Then came home and I got ready to go to girls night out.

Me, my best friend and 2 other really good friends were going to go eat at Chipotle then go dancing! It was fun! Got home pretty late 1;30 a.m then I had to get up for Church at 7:30.
